A lovely summer's morning found me climbing up my local hill, Moel Famau in North East Wales for a bit of fresh air before clocking in at the factory where I work.
Moel Famau is the highest peak in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and takes about an hour and a quarter to get up and down again.
On this particular morning I got back down to the car park just as the sun had risen over the trees of the Clwydian Forest in the valley formed between Moel Famau and its neighbouring peak of Feol Fenlli.
Thanks to a handy inversion layer the valley was fog bound, giving an ethereal lighting effect as the sun shone weakly through the mist.
I had a few minutes to spare, so I quickly set up my camera and tripod to record a few hundred still images of the sun rising through the fog.
It didn't take long before the fog started to burn off as the sun rose higher, and I felt so priveledged to have been able to wtiness and film such a rare and beautiful sight.
