A summer's eve, and the mountains (small ones) of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) are bathed in the warm glow of the low angled sun as it drops towards the distant horizon.
It's far too nice to be stuck indoors, so a ten minute drive and a twenty minute climb find me at the summit of Foel Fenlli, camera and tripod in hand, to capture some of the beauty that surrounds me.
Overhead, wispy cirrus clouds form and fade, playing in the light of the setting sun, while in the valleys a fine layer of mist forms as the air cools from its afternoon heat.
Eventually the sun kisses the land in a blaze of fire and light before finally dropping below the horizon and surrendering the sky to the onset of night.
However, in midsummer at latitude 53 degrees north the sun is never far away, and twilight clings to the sky as my camera clicks away, recording the still images that go to make up this time lapse video.
Although the video is very nice, there's nothing like actually being there, on top of a mountain, on an evening such as this.
