On a drive with my wife Liz around some of the many beauty spots of North Wales, we found ourselves on the road from Trefriw to Dolgarrog, having visited the stunning LLyn Crafnant a little earlier.
The views up the Conwy river valley were just lovely, with broken clouds streaming overhead painting the landscape in moving bands of light and shadow.
A convenient layby presented itself, so we took a twenty minute break to admire the scenery and shoot off the 300 odd still photos that comprise this short timelapse video.
An ND grad filter over the sky helped keep the contrast range in check so that all the details in the scene could be enjoyed.
Suitably refreshed in body, mind and spirit we went on our way to see what else this wonderful part of the world might have in store for us.
All in all, a lovely spectacle to start the day with, even though it did mean getting up at 3am followed by a hour's drive to the coast.
