With its dramatic headlands, secluded bays and gorgeous beaches the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall was high on my wife Liz's and my list of places to explore.
So with a two week stay near Bude in early September 2019 we made the most of our holiday time to venture along the narrow country lanes to seek out lesser known spots.
One of the favourite places we 'discovered' was Crackington Haven, a small, virtually deserted beach sandwiched between impressive cliffs, and we made a few visits here at various times of the day to enjoy the scenery and fresh sea air.
On this occasion, with a low tide exposing the large beach of sand and rock, I took the opportunity to shoot this short video of the scene from high on the coastal path and at sea level, just to remind myself of how lovely Crackington Haven is and, of course, to share this with you.
