Every midsummer for the past few years I've made an evening trip to Dock Road at Connah's Quay in Deeside, North Wales, to watch and film as the sun sets over the gas fired power station on the banks of the river Dee.
Each time I've visited conditions have been different - sometimes clouds have cut the sunset short, sometimes there's been a clear reflection in the still waters of the river, but on this occasion we had a virtually clear sky to the horizon, with a moderate breeze riffling the surface of the waters and removing any chance of a reflection.
I spent the time while my camera was clicking away chatting to a local angler who was fishing from the same spot as I was filming from, and then later another local photographer turned up to catch the sunset so quite a jolly time was had by all as the light faded from the sky.
God willing I'll be back again next year to do the same.
