The combination of landscape, sea and skies along the North Wales coast is just a sensory wonderland, especially at either end of the day when, weather permitting, the sunrise and sunset provides a spectacular show of light and colour in the heavens above.
Deganwy is a great spot to catch one of those sunsets from, and on a calm evening with the waters of the Conwy estuary glowing in the light it's one of my wife Liz's and my favourite places for a shoreline walk and to watch the sunset.
This particular evening there was a dead calm, allowing an almost perfect reflection of twilight tinged clouds in the estuary as day faded slowly to night.
What a lovely way to spend an hour, and all within a forty five minute drive of our home.
