On March 13th 2021 Wales went from a 'Stay at home' Covid lockdown to a slightly less restrictive 'Stay local' requirement.
So I celebrated with a short drive from my home to the coastal town of Flint on the estuary of the river Dee.
Flint's claim to fame is the ruined castle, set on what was the seashore (back in Edward the First's day) of the river Dee estuary.
But the estuary has now silted up so the castle is now quite a way from the sea except at times of the high spring tides.
Never mind though, as the broken towers and turrets still make for a great centrepiece for a time lapse video, especially when the clouds are blowing in from the coast, painting the landscape and castle is a patchwork dance of light and shadow.
