During our two week stay in the Italian lakes my wife Liz and I spent a few days exploring around Lake Garda.
I made a special effort to make sure we were on the east coast of the lake, looking west from late afternoon onwards, in order to catch the beautiful sunsets that this part of the world is justly famous for.
My favourite sunset spot turned out to be at a place called Bardolino, towards the southern, less mountainous end of Lake Garda, with a clear view to the horizon.
Good parking, a lakeside promenade, reasonable restaurants and a great view out over the still waters of the lake made capturing this timelapse of the sunset with a moored yacht in the foreground a sheer delight.
Even the mosquitoes left us alone!
