Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, has a dramatic and rugged volcanic coastline.
Battered by huge Atlantic rollers in an onshore breeze, the air is filled with sea spray - not a good recipe for a prolonged time lapse shoot!
Fortunately for me, the view facing inland was just as dramatic as the view facing the ocean, just not quite as wet!
This time lapse video shows lovely cumulus clouds being blown over the cones of dormant volcanoes by that stiff breeze, while in the foreground shadow and sunlight play across the barren, alien landscape at Los Hervideros.
