Where do you go to get the best views of the iconic Liverpool skyline? Birkenhead, of course!
This lovely view of the full moon rising over the Liver Building and the river Mersey was captured from one of my favourite spots in England, Seacombe Dock on the far bank of the river.
This view never fails to deliver in any weather, as the natural light of evening light fades away to reveal the artifical lights of the waterfront buildings, reflecting in the waters of the Mersey.
This particular evening the rising moon over the Liver Building was just the icing on the cake, and I got the most out of the evening by filming on two camera at once, one zoomed in on the Liver Building and the other set for an all encompassing view of the skyline, staying quite late until the full moon finally disappeared into a bank of cloud.
