Most of my photography features North Wales locations, which makes sense as that's where I live.
But every now and then my wife Liz and I will sneak over the border into England to catch some alternative views.
And one of the best is the view of the Liverpool waterfront skyline, as seen from across the river Mersey at Seacombe Dock in Birkenhead on the Wirral peninsula.
My favourite time to photograph, or video, cities is that wonderful twenty minutes or so at dusk, when the residual natural light in the sky is balanced by the glow of artificial lights from the streets and buildings.
Which is when I shot this panoramic sweep along the river Mersey, taking in the modern high rise office blocks to the north, nicely positioned next to the iconic 'Three Graces' buldings, including the world famous Liver Building, with its ever watchful statues of the Liver Birds overlooking the river and the city.
This is followed, a bit further south, by the modern architecture of the Museum of Liverpool, and finally ends up at the glowing circle of light that is the Wheel of Liverpool, situated in the old docks area.
Quite a lovey way to spend an evening!
