Sunrise on the North Wales coast, and I've got up super early for the drive to Llandudno from my home near Mold to catch the event while overlooking the iconic Victorian pier.
With sunrise in early June occuring at around 5am, I've got the place to myself, with just the sound of the waves and the mournful cry of the chip-deprived seagulls for company.
So I stand and watch, making small regular adjustments to the shutter speed on my tripod mounted camera as the sky gets brighter and brighter.
All of a sudden a pinpoint of light appears on the horizon, rapidly rising into the full on disc of the sun as a new day starts.
I just love this time of day, even more than sunset as the cool dawn air is much clearer, and somehow the rising sun lifts my spirits no end.
Just a wonderful show of God's love and wisdom in how everything in the solar system works like clockwork for our benefit.
