I'm standing on the promenade at Llandudno's East Shore, looking west down Gloddaeth Avenue on a cold November evening as the sun is setting over Penmaenmawr right in front of me.
I'd scouted this location for a time lapse video the previous week, and knew that if the weather played ball I could catch the transition from day, through dusk, and into night.
Having lit buildings in such a sequence is a real treat, as you can see the colour temperature constrast between the buildings and sky develop beautifully once the sun has set.
I got an added bonus that night, as the the moon was in 'evening crescent' phase, and closely followed the sun setting behind the town.
The only problem was a band of cloud on the horizon which hid the moon during its last phase of setting. Oh well, you can't have everything, and that's just fired me up to try again next time!
