It was one of those evenings that you just didn't want to end.
My wife Liz and I were parked up next to the beach at Llandudno's West Shore on the North Wales coast for what was supposed to be a short coffee break before heading home after having spent the afternoon with family and friends at the seaside.
However, we didn't reckon on the wonderful light show we were treated to as we sat there sipping our drinks.
First off was the sunset (which I tried to time lapse but failed utterly!) in which the sun set into a clear horizon while reflecting off wet sand left by the outgoing tide.
Next up was the setting of the new crescent moon over the mountains behind Conway, following the sun down as dusk fell and the tide started to come back in.
And finally we were treated to the vivid colours of twilight on the western horizon as the tide raced back in across the flat expanse of sand before us and the massive bulk of the Great Orme stood sillhoutted against the glow.
This time lapse video shows the final episode of our evening's entertainment which ended around 11pm.
We could have stayed longer, but with work in the morning it was time to head home, with the sky still glowing behind us as we drove back along the A55.
