Driving back home along the A55 expressway that follows the North Wales coast after a day spent exploring and photographing in the Snowdonia National Park, I started to notice a rather interesting sky developing over Anglesey to the west as sunset approached.
Intrigued to see how things would develop, I pulled off the A55 at Llanfairfechan and parked up next to the promenade, giving me a good view out over the beach, sea and sky.
I was just in time, as the sun had found a gap in the clouds on the western horizon and was starting to paint the heavens with glowing warm sunset colours.
A very quick set up of camera and tripod ensued, and I was able to capture the few hundred still images needed to create this time lapse video before the glorious light finally faded from the scene, leaving just an orange glow on the far horizon.
And then it was off back home, very happy at having been able to witness and photograph such a lovely display.
