Llyn Padarn Time Lapse #3

The story behind this video

Thinking about heading home after an afternoon exploring the delights of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, Liz and I decided to divert around Llyn Padarn by Llanberis to take in the view up the lake towards the peaks of the Snowdon horseshoe and the slopes of Dinorwig.

We arrived about half an hour before sunset, and with towering cumulus clouds sweeping across the lake, catching the light of the setting sun, I just couldn't resist shooting this quick time lapse as day faded to dusk.

About halfway through the shoot another photographer called Kris Williams joined me and we started chatting (as photographers do).

It turns out he shoots in most of my favourite locations around Snowdonia and Anglesey, and he took the time to show me some of his work on his mobile.

I was blown away by the beauty of what he was producing, especially his night photography which included some really unique stuff (bioluminance and the aurora at the same time for one).

I heartily recommend you check out his facebook page if you want to see some fantastic North Wales imagery.

And if you're visiting Beaumaris on Anglesey you can view his work 'in the flesh' at the Janet Bell Gallery - not to be missed.
