Having spent the day exploring the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, Liz and I headed to the coast to watch the sunset.
We ended up in Caernarfon, just as the sun was setting over the Menai Straits to the west as the tide was coming in.
A still evening rendered the surface of the Straits like a mirror, reflecting the glorious colours developing in the heavens above as the wispy clouds caught the light of the dying sun.
Out in the Straits a solitary yacht was moored, silhouetted against the glowing sky and reflecting in the still waters below.
A perfect evening to shoot a time lapse video, so that's what I did for three quarters of an hour down on the stony beach, only stopping when the incoming tide reached the legs of my tripod.
What a wonderful end to a day spent immersed in North Wales' beauty.
