One of the best loved views in North Wales, this is Thomas Telford's iconic suspension bridge over the Menai Straits, joining the Isle of Anglesey to the mainland.
My wife Liz and I parked up at the overview on the Anglesey side of the Straits for a bite to eat late on on a summer's eve, just as the sun was starting to set.
The light was so beautiful that, even though I've photographed here many, many times in the past I couldn't resist setting up my camera for a twenty minutes' worth of time lapse shooting.
I was only just in time, as shortly after I started filming the shadows lengthened, drawing a darkening veil over the fields, waters and finally the bridge itself.
Once all direct light had fled the scene, it was time to pack up, finish the picnic and start the hour and a quarter drive back home along the A55.
What a lovely way to end the day!
