One of the most charming places that my wife Liz and I 'discovered' during our two week holiday exploring Devon and Cornwall was the small fishing village of Mevagissey on the south coast near St Austell.
With a busy harbour split into an inner and outer quay and quaint narrow streets leading up from the shore Mevagissey was a visual delight, and with summer cumulus clouds racing by overhead, casting patches of sunlight and shadow over the boats and houses it was too good an opportunity to miss.
So I set up my camera and tripod on the quayside overlooking the harbour and started off by shooting a real time video of the scene, followed by the 400+ still images needed to create this timelapse sequence.
Between the two, I prefer this time lapse, emphasisng the movement of the boats and clouds.
