This is the iconic Jubiliee Tower on the summit of Moel Famau, my local hill and favourite place for a good lung stretching climb.
I climbed to the top on this warm summer's evening as the sun was setting behind the monument, and although the light wasn't dramatic enough for still photography (we're never satisifed are we?) the gentle movement of the clouds and relatively low contrast throughout the scene were ideal for putting together a timelapse sequence.
I spent about an hour and a half shooting the stills, and filled up two memory cards in the process.
One of the disciplines of doing timelapse work is you have to stay in one place for a long time, which is alien to me as I like to move around and explore, which you can with still photography but not with timelapse.
At least I'm learning patience as well as the technical craft behind this entrancing way of looking at the passage of time.
