A full moon had just appeared over the roofline as my wife Liz and I arrived back home in the dark of night after a day out in Snowdonia.
Clear skies and windless night are a rarity here in North Wales so I took full advantage of the opportunity to shoot the hundreds of still images needed for this time lapse sequence.
Because of the calm conditions I was able to use my longest lens to make the moon as big as possible in the camera's viewfinder, not possible if there's any wind about as the slightest movement of the 400mm lens results in a very twitchy video.
So I made every effort to shoot the sequence using the best techniques possible to give the highest quality video, not knowing when I might get conditions like these again.
