There's something marvellous about the lunar cycles, as regular as clockwork (even better in fact!) on a 28 day timetable.
Each different phase offers a photographic opportunity, depending on the cloud cover of course!
I took advantage of a beautiful blue sky with a few wispy clouds drifting by in mid March 2021 to take a few thousand rapid fire exposures of a gibbous moon tracking across the heavens, in order to create this time lapse video.
And I didn't have to go far to get the shots, no further than my front path in fact, which was just as well with Wales in a full Covid lockdown at the time!
I'm looking forward to photographing the moon, stars and planets a bit further from home shortly!
