There's something marvellous about the lunar cycles, as regular as clockwork (even better in fact!) on a 28 day timetable.
Each different phase offers a photographic opportunity, depending on the cloud cover of course!
I took advantage of a clear blue sky at dusk in mid April 2021 to take a few thousand rapid fire exposures of a gibbous moon tracking across the heavens, in order to create this time lapse video.
This phase of the moon highlights the cratered face of the moon as the oblique angles sunlight grazes across the moon's lit face. Just wonderful.
And I didn't have to go far to get the shots, no further than my back yard in fact!
