Some time lapse videos take weeks of planning and preparation to shoot, while others can happen almost spontaneously.
Driving home from an evening's stroll along Llandudno's West Shore with my wife Liz I happened to glance to the west only to see this lovely new crescent moon suspended in the post sunset afterglow over the headland of Penmaenmawr.
Knowing the area helps in a situation like this, as I knew a great spot in Deganwy to park up and film the show from the side of the road.
It was fascinating to watch for half an hour as the new moon tracked down through the darkening sky to finally disappear behind the silhouetted hills.
Well worth a stop on the way home.
