Sitting in the car park on Llandudno's West Shore on a lovely spring evening gives a very relaxed view of the sunset out to the west over the Irish Sea, and while my wife Liz was snapping away with her new phone at the sinking sun my attention was turned more to the South, and the view over the Conway estuary to the very impressive headland at Penmaenmawr.
We'd been treated to some quite active weather earlier on, with alternating sunshine and downpours, and we were still in the tail end of this system at the end of the day.
The steep headland and mountains behind are great cloud generating features, forcing air upwards so that it cools, condensing the water vapour into streaming clouds.
I spend a happy hour either side of sunset just watching the light and weather as my camera clicked away every 15 seconds, recording the action for me.
The clouds weren't dramatic that evening, but made for a very pleasant short timelapse video even so.
