Dawn at Penmon Point on the southeastern tip of the Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.
I'd just finished shooting the stills for my time lapse video of the dawn at Penmon and was on the cusp of packing my camera gear away when I noticed a small yacht coming out of the Menai Straits and heading towards the gap between the lighthouse and Puffin Island.
What an opportunity to shoot some real time video, showing the boat motoring past, and also recording some of the typical Penmon sounds into the bargain.
As well as the beautiful scenery, it's the sounds of the sea that make this place so special for me, especially at dawn when there's no-one else about and I can listen to the gentle susurration of the waves on the shore, punctuated by the mournful and evocative sounds of the lighthouse's warning bell and the cry of the gulls wheeling overhead.
So I was really pleased to be able to record this video, capturing some of the sheer loveliness of the scene in both sound and vision.
Now if only I could capture the smell of the seaweed and the salty tang of the water as well!
