The shoreline at Penmon Point on the island of Anglesey is absolutely fascinating.
As well the very picturesque lighthouse, with Puffin Island in the background, there is also a wide tidal range to enjoy, with all sorts of rock formations, pools and a path being revealed and concealed with the ebb and flow of the sea.
This particular time lapse rendering of the tide at Penmon is actually playing backwards, as the water was actually receding and darkness was falling as I took the hundreds of still photos required to mkae the video.
Is this cheating? Of course it is! But as with everything here at goHOWiE.com, what you see is my artistic interpretation, not what may or may not be actual truth.
After all, isn't that what art is all about, a personal expression rather than just a facual recording?
Beside, I prefer the drama of seeing the sea rush towards you, rather than redecing away, and at least this way there was no danger of my camera and tripod being washed away by the incoming tide!
