What was meant to be a relaxing evening meal in a seafront restaurant in the lovely town of Port de Soller, on the west coast of Mallorca, turned into a bit of a scramble as this stunning sunset started to develop out to the northwest, very nicley positioned between the two limestone headlands that flank either side of the bay.
Grabbing my coffee, tripod, camera etc. etc. I ran to the sea wall and claimed my spot just ahead of the hordes of phone camera wielding visitors who had the same idea as me, except I was after capturing a time lapse sequence over about an hour either side of sunset, so once in position there was no way I was moving!
It's amazing how much respect having a tripod in place engenders in situations like this, and I'm glad I stuck it out through sunset and on into twilight as it was a really lovely experience just sitting there watching the light fade and listening to the sea.
