My wife Liz and I took the opportunity of a break in the weather during December 2020 to make a quick dash to the North Wales coast, to catch the sunset at Porth Dafarch on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.
Splashing across the wet sand at low tide, I spied this intrepid sea angler, perched on the end of a rocky promentory with waves crashing all around.
With the fisherman dramatically silhouetted against the glowing sunset sky, the scene was just too good to pass by without taking some photos and this video.
With a long lens fitted to my Canon 6DMK2 DSLR I was glad of the calm conditions, allowing me to get 30 seconds or so of shake free video with backlit waves breaking around our hero.
Just a few seconds after I'd finished filming the angler decided enough was enough, picked up his tackle box and walked away.
What amazing timing!
