Time Lapse Video Of Cumulus Clouds Over Snowdonia Mountains, North Wales #5

The story behind this video

One of the loveliest views in the Snowdonia (now called Eryri) National Park in North Wales is this vista out over the waters of Llyn Nantlle Uchaf, looking east towards the high mountains around Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) itself.

My wife Liz and I quite often take in this view during one of our exploratory drives around the national park, but it's rare that you see this scenery under sunny skies in this part of the world!

So when we arrived here on a rare clear weather day in last August 2024 we had to stop for half an hour or so for me to catch the light cumulus clouds streaming over the rolling landscape, casting moving patches of sunlight and shadow across the peaks, valleys and lake.

And then it was onwards through more beautiful scenery before arriving at the coast for the drive back home.
