Another beautiful autumnal day in north Wales, and my wife Liz and I are taking full advantage with a drive through the Snowdonia (now called Eryri) National Park, stopping at various spots on the way to admire the view and take some photos.
On this occasion we'd taken the road less travelled, and headed further south than our usual scenic route, along the A470 through Ffestiniog and on towards the coast at Portmadoc.
And it was just south of Ffestiniog that we can across this lovely view of the Snowdonia foothills, bathed in a chiaroscuro dance of sunlight and shadow as broken cumulus clouds streamed by overhead in the stiffening breeze.
We had a picnic with us, so I took the opportunity to pull into a convenient layby to set up my camera to record a few hundred still images of the cloud play while we munched on cold pizza.
Ant twenty minutes later, with enough still images in the memory card to make just 20 odd seconds of time lapse video, we were on our way again to the next wonderful view.
What a stunning region to live near to, to be able to see first hand the beauty of God's creation.
