Where to go at the end of a great day spent exploring and photographing on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast?
For me there's an obvious 'go to' spot to watch the sun set, and that's overlooking South Stack lighthouse, right at the north western corner of the island.
Even after visits too numerous to mention I never get tired of coming here at the end of the day to listen to the waves crashing on the cliff below, punctuated by the mournful cry of the gulls circling overhead and the far away fog horn of the ferry to Ireland.
I've never seen the same sunset twice either, which is why I keep photographing from this location.
With ever varying weather coming over from the Atlantic Ocean via Ireland, and the huge differences in the direction of the setting sun throughout the year at this latitude, this is one spot that never gets boring!
