I shot this time lapse sequence on a whim one lovely sunny morning from the drive outside my house in North Wales, while wearing dressing gown and slippers.
I don't know what the neighbours thought, but I'm rather pleased with this simple time lapse of the sun, shot using a sun filter commonly associated with viewing eclipses.
The bright sky immediately around the sun shows through as just a faint nimbus of glowing light surrounded by the black of space.
My only disappointement was that there were no sunspots in evidence on that morning, but that's just an excuse to have another go!
