This simple sunset timelapse was shot on a rare cloudless evening from the West Shore at Llandudno on the North Wales coast, looking out over the Irish Sea.
Usually there's a band of cloud or mist on the horizon that prevents you from seeing the sun disappearing into the sea, but not on this occasion.
North Wales is situated approximately at a latitude of 53 degrees north, so instead of setting straight down, as it would at the equator, the sun sinks at a graceful angle and leaves a bright afterglow that at the height of summer lasts all night.
