Practise, practise, practise.
Having learnt my lessons from previous attempts to shoot a time lapse video from thjis location I made sure my tripod was sheltered as best I could from the breeze before I started shooting the stills for this sequence, and this time I started shooting with the scene overexposed by one stop.
This meant that I didn't have to increase the exposure halfway through the sunset and thus get an unseemly jump in brightness that looks unnatural.
Add to that some rather lovely cloud action along the horizon and I'm really pleased with the final result.
Still room for improvement though, and you can be sure I'll be out practising time lapse in all sorts of places and conditions - it's a fascinating medium of expression.
