After a morning spent dodging the rain on the North Wales coast, Liz and I headed west on a late spring afternoon towards a gap in the clouds and hopefully some better weather.
Yes, it does rain occasionally in North Wales!
Eventually we wound up at Caernarfon, a worthwhile destination in any weather, and after a harbourside meal we were just in time to witness the last half hour of sunset, perched on the outer wall of the marina looking west up the Menai Straits and out over to Anglesey on the far side.
We were treated to a beautiful, colour drenched sunset, helped by the clouds still hanging around from the weather front that that dumped on us so effectively earlier in the day.
Of course I had to record the event in timelapse, as is my habit, and I'm certain glad we didn't give up on our day out following the earlier bad weather.
You never know what you're going to miss if you give up.
