Midsummer on the North Wales coast and I'm making the most of the glorious weather by getting out as often as I can to shoot time lapse videos of the dramatic scenery.
Sunrise and sunset are my favourite times, which is why I was on the beach at Talacre this particular evening, wanting to catch the sunset over the iconic Point of Ayr lighthouse, sticking incongruously out of the sand at a somewhat drunken angle.
And I wasn't disappointed, having carefully lined my camera up so that the sun would pass through the glass top of the lighthouse I watched and filmed as the sun sank lower and lower towards the Irish Sea.
But I had reckoned without the incoming tide, which moves at quite a pace over the flat sands of Talacre, and just before sunset I had to beat a hasty retreat back up the beach to higher ground.
So this video comes in two parts - not for any artistic reason but pure health & safety!
