The Wales coronavirus lockdown in the October of 2020 severely curtailed my ability to drive to the beautiful North Wales coast and the mountains of Snowdonia.
It's a good thing then that there's so much wonderful scenery right on my doorstep here in Flintshire, not least this view out over the Vale of Clwyd from the slopes of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
A cold front had just passed by overhead, leaving dramatic clouds in its wake catching the light of the sun as it sank towards the western horizon, finally setting over the far peaks of Snowdonia.
So I spent a cold, but gloriously fulfilling hour, shooting the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video of the event, only packing away once the last vestiges of colour had drained from the sky.
Then it was short drive back home, just in time for tea.
