Another stunning and dramatic sunset over the Vale of Clwyd in north Wales, just a fifteen minute drive from my home in Buckley.
Keeping an eye on the heavens from outside my house, I could see that the broken, hazy cloud of an autumnal sky could yield something special as the sun dipped towards the horizon.
But you never can be sure what's going to happen in this part of the world, as the weather, cloud cover and light can all change in an instant, and what started out as a promising sunset can easily fade into just a grey sludge.
But that's no reason to stop venturing out to see and film what may, or may not be, something spectacular.
And I'm certainly glad that my wife Liz and I made the effort this particular evening, as not only were we treated to a sunset that was visible all the way down to the landscape, a rare event in itself, but the post sunset afterglow was something to behold, with those broken clouds catching the last of sun's rays and putting on a wonderful closing finale of light and colour.
Just wonderful to catch something as beautiful as that sunset every once in a while.
