The sunset that kept on giving!
It was the end of a stormy day in November over the rolling landscape of the Vale of Clwyd in northeast Wales, and as the cloud was breaking up I left home in the hope of catching a dramatic sunset from one of my favourite viewpoints on the slopes of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a quarter hour drive from my home.
And I wasn't disappointed, as the setting sun played hide and seek behind the multi-layered clouds while shooting vivid sunbeams across the landscape below.
But I didn't dstop filming once the sun had set.
Instead I zoomed my lens out to take in more of the sky as I hoped that those textured, high level clouds would catch some of the warm suns rays from just below the horizon.
And again, I wasn't disappointed as, just a few minutes after sunset, a salmon pink glow spread upwards from the horizon, flashing across the sky for just a few moments before fading away to gray, and heralding the end of the wonderful light show for another day.
Yet another display of God's creative love and wisdom, expressed in the beauty of light.
