My wife Liz and I were enjoying a short break in Venice one chilly March, and while she kept nice and warm in the hotel I set off in the cold for the iconic location of St Mark's Square, with the express intent of shooting this timelapse sequence from late afternoon, through sunset and into dusk.
Shooting one frame every 10 seconds it took me around 90 minutes to film this short sequence, and for once everything went according to plan.
I even had a bench to sit on next to my camera as it clicked relentlessly away much to the amusement of passing gondoliers and tourists, and I am really pleased with the final outcome.
