It was one of those days where the weather didn't quite know what it was doing - we get quite a lot of days like those here in North Wales.
I'd taken a day off from work in the factory to spend exporing Snowdonia, looking for new views to photograph, either with a still image or a time lapse video clip.
I'd produced many still images of the waterfalls that abound in this somewhat wet region, but I'd never made a time lapse of one, so I thought I'd remedy that situation at one of my favourite waterfall spots at the foot of Tryfan, in the Glyderau range of mountains.
There's a huge waterfall here that drains down in to the Nant Ffancon valley, but the light wasn't up to photographing a big scene - too dull.
However, there's a smaller waterfall just a few paces along the A5 that was very accessible and would look just right in the dull light I had at the time.
Of course, when I got there the sun had decided to come out again and was painting my waterfall in alternating bands of dazzling light and more reasonable shade.
Still, the varying light, while causing some exposure issues, did make for an interesting little time lapse.
Of course, I'm going to have to go back to have another crack at the bigger waterfall, hopefully under better light.
