The promenade by the side of the Marine Lake at West Kirby on the Wirral is a great place to watch a sunset from.
With big skies, cloud action to the west over the high ground of North Wales, and the improbable sight of people seemingly walking on water as they stroll aound the outer rim of the lake, there's plenty to point a camera at.
My wife Liz and I had spent a pleasant afternoon walking around the lake, followed by a coffee and scone at Tanskey's Bistro, so we were in the perfect mood to sit on a bench and let the camera click away for an hour or so as we watched the sun setting through the clouds.
