What could be better than sitting by the seashore, listening to the breaking waves kissing the shingle as the sky lightens to the northeast in anticipation of a crisp, cloud free sunrise.
The answer's simple - all of the above, plus having a camera set up to shoot a time lapse of the event!
Add in some dramatic interest in the form of the gigantic wind turbines of the Gwynt y Môr offshore windfarm and you're onto a winner of a morning.
The only slight downside is the 3am start required to be onsite at my chosen spot on the North Shore promenade at Llandudno in time to catch the action.
