Time Lapse Video Of Sunset Over Offshore Wind Turbines, North Wales #14

The story behind this video

A lovely spring evening on the north Wales coast, and my wife Liz and I took the opportunity for a stroll by the seaside.

Now there are many lovely spots for a walk along the coast, but on this occasion we chose Rhyl, with a bit of an ulterior motive on my part.

Rhyl is one of the closest points on the coast to the massive turbines of the Gwynt-y-Môr offshore windfarm, which being north facing means you can catch a dramatic sunset over the blades during the summer months.

So after our stroll, with the sun approaching the horizon, I set up my camera to shoot the twenty minutes of the final stages of the sunset, with a group of slowly rotating turbines ticking round.

And then it was time for the half hour drive back home, fully relaxed and content having watched the wonder of God's precise handiwork once again.
