One unseasonably warm and sunny day in late September 2020 my wife Liz and I decided on an excursion southwards from our home in North Wales down to Barmouth on the coast of southern Snowdonia.
Having explored Barmouth and walked over the amazing railway bridge across the Mawddach estuary (a life goal for me), our attention was drawn to a roadsign on the outskirts of Barmouth advertising a panoramic view.
So off we set up into the hills above the Mawddach estuary to see what we could find.
What we did find, eventually, was a stunning vista up the estuary to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond, lit by dappled sunlight and with rolling farmland in front of us.
But as well as views over the estuary I was also entranced by the beautiful rolling farmland, criss-crossed with drystone walls and lit with the warm light of the afternoon sun.
Well worth swinging my lens around to capture a few images.
