This is one of a series of images with the theme 'Paths of Light'.
'beach-pool-01' and 'sunset-beach-02' are the others in this series.
All the photos were taken at Talacre, which is a beach and nature reserve on the North Wales coast and a favourite haunt of mine.
Talacre beach is a fantastic place for photography, as the beach has gentle undulations which fill with water at high tide, and then remain behind as the tide recedes.
Before dawn or after sunset these long thin pools of water pick up and reflect the ambient light in the sky and glow with whatever colours there are in the sky at the time.
On this particular morning the sky coloured up beautifully and my chosen pool glowed with orange and blue light as it snaked of into the distance and finally drained into the sea.
