White hulled yachts gleaming in the sun against a backdrop of modernistic buildings and a medieval castle.
This is the view out over the small Victoria dock harbour at Caernarfon on the North Wales coast on a beautiful July afternoon.
My wife Liz and I often arrive at Caernarfon after a day spent exploring the dramatic mountain scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, ready for a bite to eat in the Galeri Café followed by a stroll around the famous castle and harbour.
Of course, the imposing castle, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the main draw for visitors and photographers, myself included, but I also really like to photograph around Victoria Dock, taking in the nautical details on display.
And naturally enough, a lovely sunny afternoon makes those yachts sparkle!
