It takes a bit of a climb to get there, but the views from the top of the Sychnant Pass on the North Wales coast make the effort more than worthwhile.
My latest adventure on the Sychnant Pass was in order to shoot the stills for my Conway Time Lapse #10 video, filming as night fell over the brightly lit town and castle.
But I couldn't resist stopping on my way to my chosen vantage point to take in this wonderful view out over the beach at Conwy Morfa, across the bay of the Conwy estuary to the Great Orme and Llandudno beyond.
Kissed by the warm light of the setting sun, and with glowing banks of purple and pink heather in the foreground, this was a scene crying out to be photographed.
But with view being naturally long and thin, a single frame just couldn't do this landscape justice.
So instead of fitting a really wide angle lens to my camera and subsequently cropping most of the image away to give me the format I wanted, I took a series of overlapping frames which were blended later in Adobe Lightroom to give me this panoramic collage at extemely high resolution.
A fitting treatment for such wonderful scenery.
