Driving back up the Conwy Valley in North Wales, en route to Conway having visited the beautiful Llyn Crafnant, my wife Liz and I passed this stunning scene looking out over Conwy Valley as the sun and clouds bathed the landscape in alternating bands of light and shadow.
Well, of course, we stopped, turned around and parked up in a convenient layby to watch the light show playing out in front of us, whih also involved me setting up and shooting stills for my time lapse video Conwy Valley Timelapse #1.
This image has been constructed from one of the stills I shot for the video, but while for the video I have to batch process hundreds of stills to a set 16:9 aspect ratio crop, I could do what I liked with this single frame.
So I cropped it to a 17:6 ratio, reminiscent of the old Fuji panoramic 617 frame size, to place more emphasis on the foreground and less on the sky.
A few tweaks on colour and contrast and there you have it, a reminder of a lovely view.
